FLOYD PERRAS

Executive Director

Hello, I am the Executive Director at the 4 Wing MFRCS. I have over 25+ years of non-profit experience, and 20+ years in executive roles.

Some of my duties related to First Flights include overseeing the
day-to-day operations, budget and finance, fundraising, policy, marketing and customer service.

I moved to Cold Lake from Winnipeg in 2017 and have enjoyed my time here serving the 4 Wing and Cold Lake community.

CHERAMIE SMITH

First Flights Early Learning Manager

Hello, I joined the 4 Wing MFRCS team as the First Flights Coordinator in 2020 and became the First Flights Manager in May 2022.

I assist with overseeing and supporting the day-to-day operations of our Early Learning Centre, Out of School Care (OSC), Preschool, Summer OSC, and After Hours Care programs.

I have been working in the Early Learning and child care field for 20+ years, with many of those years spent as a Preschool Instructor. I completed my Early Childhood Education Diploma early in my career and then continued on to obtain my Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood Program Management.

I moved to Cold Lake in 2012 with my husband and 3 children from our home province of Manitoba. I have loved the time we have spent here becoming part of the Cold Lake community and meeting many new families and children!

JACKIE DUBEAU

First Flights Early Learning Coordinator

Hello, I am an Early Childhood Educator with 45 years of experience and have been fortunate to work in every capacity of childcare throughout my career. I have been an educator in a classroom, a home childcare provider, a resource teacher, a supervisor, and, most recently, an Executive Director at a centre in Barrie, Ontario.

My husband and I recently moved to Cold Lake upon the arrival of our newest grandchild. I have since taken up a few new hobbies – I joined a bowling league and the Lakeland Ladykillers Roller Derby group, which has been a lot of fun! I also love walking along the waterfront whenever I can and taking in the beauty of this wonderful area.

Cold Lake is beautiful, and we cannot wait to discover all its treasures while becoming part of the community. I am truly excited for this new adventure with First Flights and look forward to getting to know the families, children, and wonderful people who make this community so special.
